The JBBBS (Jewish Big Brothers\\Big Sisters) project of the Jewish community of Dnipro continues to create a space of lively communication, support, and joy for children and families of the community. At the beginning of Hanukkah, project participants gathered for a special meeting, which began a cycle of festive events filled with light, creativity, and real emotions. <\/p>

<\/p>

The meeting was held in a warm and extremely cozy atmosphere. At the creative master class, children and adults created symbols of festive home comfort with their own hands – loose candles and aroma diffusers, which should fill homes with the light and fragrance of Hanukkah. Working with the dough for Hanukkah donuts was a special joy: there were so many goodies that after the master class everyone enjoyed tasting them over a cup of fragrant tea, chatting and sharing their mood. <\/p>

<\/p>

\u201cIt is important for us that the light of Hanukkah is felt not only in candles, but also in shared moments, in a warm atmosphere, in the feeling that you are not alone,\u201d notes JBBBS project manager Tetyana Kaplunska. \u201cIt is from such meetings that a true sense of celebration and community is born.\u201d<\/p>

<\/p>

The day culminated in the joint lighting of the first Hanukkah candle in the Menorah Center gallery with the entire community. The solemn, yet homely atmosphere created a sense of unity and joy that is so characteristic of Hanukkah. <\/p>
