A women’s shiur on the topic of “Vows and Promises” took place within the “Menorah Community” project of the Dnipro Jewish Community, which is actively developing thanks to the efforts of the Zislin family. The shiur united the participants in a deep exploration of Jewish tradition, an understanding of the spiritual power of words, and meaningful, lively discussion.<\/p>

<\/p>

The shiur was held on the 18th of Teves and was dedicated to understanding the concepts of vows and promises in Judaism, why the spoken word holds tremendous spiritual power, and how it binds a person to Hashem. The speaker was Reb Avraham Yosef Yitzchak Karshenbaum, whose presentation skillfully combined the profound wisdom of the Torah with a practical understanding of the role of speech and a person’s responsibility for every word uttered in daily life. During the session, they spoke about responsibility for what is said, the wisdom of careful and considered speech, and how a proper attitude towards words helps strengthen emunah and inner integrity. <\/p>

<\/p>

A particularly warm and special moment of the gathering was the celebration of the birthday girls of the month of Teves. On this day, four participants were honored, receiving bouquets and gifts\u2014including chumashim, brachos for the home, and tzedakah\u2014which added an extra feeling of joy, attention, and communal unity to the meeting. <\/p>

<\/p>

“Words in Judaism are not merely sounds or a form of expressing a thought; they are a spiritual force that connects a person to Hashem and places responsibility upon them,” noted the project co-director, Esti Zislin. “It is precisely a mindful attitude towards one’s own speech that helps a person maintain inner integrity and strengthen faith. For the opportunity to study these important topics together, we sincerely thank the Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of the Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
