Students of the Levi Yitzchak Schneerson Jewish Lyceum No. 144, the leading educational institution of the Dnipro Jewish Community, achieved a convincing victory in a competition organized by the Dnipro branch of the “Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine,” as part of the “Synergy of Knowledge” project.<\/p>

<\/p>

The official title of this event is the regional competition of scientific research projects “Research of Sacred Texts,” in which young scholars from various educational institutions participate. The competition holds a reputation for being elite and prestigious, as it allows young talents to showcase themselves in a wide range of culturally-oriented interdisciplinary studies.<\/p>

<\/p>

Students of the Dnipro Jewish Lyceum won in the nomination “Text in Time: History and Heritage.” First place was taken by Alisa Schneider, who dedicated her work to the history of the formation of Jewish law, focusing on identifying its key principles, particularly the idea of daily holiness in mundane matters, which is one of the foundational tenets of Jewish spiritual tradition. <\/p>

<\/p>

Second place in this nomination was taken by Danylo Medyanyi with a study on the clothing of the Jewish population of Central and Eastern Europe and its transformation under the influence of historical prohibitions and restrictions, revealing the interconnection between text, tradition, and social conditions of different eras.<\/p>

<\/p>

Both winners are eleventh-grade students of the Jewish Lyceum, and they prepared for the competition under the guidance of the Deputy Director for Jewish Traditions, Aliza Rabinovych, which enabled them to present deep and meaningful research.<\/p>

“We sincerely congratulate our students on their well-deserved victory, are proud of them, and thank them for popularizing the spiritual values of the Jewish people, the high level of scientific thinking, and the worthy representation of the lyceum at the regional level,” says the lyceum director, Olena Krasnova. “We wish them further success, inspiration, and new intellectual achievements that our lyceum and the entire united and close-knit Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki will be proud of.”<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
