In this lesson, the Rabbi addresses a surprisingly relevant and practical topic \u2013 how to deal with toxic people who destroy the atmosphere, provoke conflicts, and feed on others&#8217; emotions. <\/p><p>The portion &#8220;Beshalach,&#8221; which tells of the Exodus from Egypt, the miracle of the Splitting of the Sea, and the manna in the desert, is explored here from a psychological and spiritual perspective. Through the characters of Dasan and Aviram, among the most contentious figures in the Torah, Rabbi Shmuel demonstrates how destructive behavior can manifest even in the presence of the greatest miracles. These people don&#8217;t merely argue \u2013 they consciously poison the environment, undermine faith, and attempt to drag others into endless justifications and disputes.  <\/p><p>The lesson provides vivid examples that help explain why attempts to prove something to such people are almost always doomed to failure. The Rabbi explains that silence, inner composure, and refusing to &#8220;feed&#8221; someone else&#8217;s negativity with your own energy often become the strongest form of defense. At the same time, evil is neither denied nor romanticized but is seen as a trial through which a person can grow spiritually and become stronger.  <\/p><p>This episode is addressed to anyone who has encountered manipulation, constant dissatisfaction, and covert aggression \u2013 in the family, at work, or in the community.
