Another women’s class took place at the “Menorah Community” youth project of the Dnipro Jewish Community, which is actively developing through the efforts of the Zislin family. The session was dedicated to the theme of Jewish marriage and the central wedding ceremony \u2013 the Chuppah, as well as the spiritual meaning of the marital union in Jewish tradition.<\/p>

The class was led by “Menorah Community” instructor, Deputy Secretary of the Dnipro Rabbinical Court, Reb Avraham Yosef Yitzchak Karshenbaum, who structured the gathering as a thorough and in-depth study of what Jewish marriage means and why the Chuppah is considered one of the most important moments in the life of a Jewish family.<\/p>

At the beginning of the session, participants spoke about how a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony takes place and the meanings embedded in its main elements. The girls discussed the significance of the Chuppah itself as a symbol of the future home, as well as the role of the ring, the blessings, and other important parts of the wedding ritual. <\/p>

A separate segment was dedicated to the symbolism and deep spiritual meaning of the final element of the “Chuppah ve-Kiddushin” ceremony, to which special significance is attached in Jewish tradition \u2013 the breaking of the glass, over which blessings were recited, and how this moment recalls the connection between personal joy and the historical memory of the Jewish people.<\/p>

Special attention was given to understanding marriage in Jewish tradition as a spiritual union between husband and wife. During the discussion, it was emphasized that the family occupies a foundational place in Jewish life and is the primary space in which the values of Torah, mutual respect, and responsibility towards one another are realized. <\/p>

“It is important to us that such classes help women gain a deeper understanding of the spiritual meaning of Jewish marriage and the role of the family in Jewish tradition,” says Esti Zislin, co-director of the project. “Each class reveals new dimensions of family life in the light of Torah and Chassidic tradition, and we are deeply grateful for this opportunity, which our united and cohesive Dnipro Jewish Community, under the leadership of its Chief Rabbi, Shmuel Kaminezki, affords us.”<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
