The April issue of the “Shabbat Shalom” newspaper continues to cover the event-filled life of the Dnipro Jewish Community. The edition combines holiday reports, spiritual reflections, personal stories, educational materials, and a chronicle of community life, with particular attention to the themes of Purim, preparations for Pesach, women’s initiatives, and the preservation of historical memory. The issue was published in the traditional twelve-page format. <\/p>

<\/p>

The first page opens with the piece “Light, Unity, and Beauty,” dedicated to a three-day Shabbaton in Krakow marking the 10th anniversary of the “Women’s Wisdom” (“Kollel Torah”) program. The report describes the lectures, spiritual atmosphere, and participation of women from various cities. <\/p>

<\/p>

The second page features the regular column “Path to the Almighty,” with a weekly overview of the Torah portions from the Chief Rabbi of Dnipro, Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki. The article “Purim 5786” describes the celebrations in the Dnipro community, the reading of Megillas Esther, and the fulfillment of the holiday’s mitzvos. The page is complemented by congratulations to Sara Kaminezki on her marriage. <\/p>

The third page highlights events at “Chesed Menachem.”<\/p>

<\/p>

The fourth page contains materials about the Purim celebration at the “Beit Baruch” home, the JBBBS programs, and the Solomonika JCC, as well as a note by Nika Siyanova titled “Shabbat Mevarchim Nissan.” <\/p>

<\/p>

The fifth page features stories about Valery Litman’s concert at “Beit Baruch,” a model seder at “Chesed Menachem,” a trip by the “Beit Tzindlicht” kindergarten children on an excursion to the “Tiferet Matzah” matzah bakery, and an advertisement for the “Piznayko” children’s developmental group.<\/p>

<\/p>

Pages six and seven are entirely dedicated to a feature on preserving the memory of Dr. Leshko-Popel and his contribution to the city of Dnipro.<\/p>

<\/p>

Pages eight and nine turn to the theme of historical memory. Here, a piece about the exhibition “Women in the History of the Holocaust” at the Museum “Memory of the Jewish People and the Holocaust in Ukraine” is presented, along with a note titled “The Power of a Woman,” which its author, Iryna Lazareva, dedicated to the annual concert of the Dnipro machon “Chaya Mushka.” <\/p>

Page ten features an interview by Eugene Evshtein with Aliza Rabinovich entitled “The Love and Happiness of Aliza Rabinovich.”<\/p>

<\/p>

Page eleven is dedicated to the memory of Ihor Semenovych Manevych, who prematurely left the physical world. He was a professional journalist, an interesting person with vast life experience, and a regular, long-time contributor to the “Shabbat Shalom” newspaper.<\/p>

The twelfth page of the edition traditionally includes greetings, announcements, and humor.
