The “Tov VeChesed” volunteer project of the Dnipro Jewish Community, under the direction of Chana Nesches, once again visited children who require special care \u2013 children growing up without parental support and living in specialized facilities established as part of the “Good at Home” project.<\/p>

<\/p>

This Sunday’s gathering was dedicated to the theme of Pesach and one of the key ideas of its story: the absence of hopeless situations. Together with the children, the volunteers revisited the account of the Jewish people’s Exodus from Egypt, discussing how even in the most difficult circumstances, there is always a way out if a person maintains faith, trusts in the Almighty, and continues to move forward. For children facing challenging life conditions, such a conversation holds special significance, as it helps build inner resilience and foster a positive outlook on the future. <\/p>

<\/p>

Special attention was also given to the study of the weekly portion of Tzav, which speaks of the perpetual fire on the altar. The volunteers explained this image to the children as the inner fire of a person \u2013 a fire that must be maintained despite external difficulties, by finding time for gratitude to the Almighty, for a conscious beginning and end of the day, and for striving to live in accordance with the mitzvos. <\/p>

<\/p>

As always, the gathering was not limited to the educational portion. The volunteers spent time outdoors with the children, played with them, and brought treats, creating an atmosphere of attention, support, and sincere care.<\/p>

“We spoke with the children about how even when a person finds themselves in a difficult situation, there is never a complete dead end,” says project director Chana Nesches. “The story of Pesach teaches us trust in the Almighty and the ability to see a way out where it is not immediately apparent. And it is equally important to preserve within ourselves that same fire spoken of in the Torah \u2013 finding time for gratitude, for righteous deeds, and for inner growth. This is precisely what our dedicated team of volunteers strives to provide for the children on their journey.”<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
