Another men’s class took place at the “Menorah Community” youth project of the Dnipro Jewish Community, which is actively developing through the efforts of the Zislin family. The session was dedicated to analyzing the weekly Torah portion of Emor and exploring the spiritual meaning of the holiday of Lag B’Omer.<\/p>

The speaker for the gathering was Rabbi Reuven Kaminezki, who offered the participants a careful and in-depth study of the portion of Emor, in which the Torah reveals the theme of holiness, spiritual responsibility, and the special mission of the Jewish people, emphasizing how these ideas manifest in a person’s daily life.<\/p>

During the lesson, the participants also turned to the meaning of the Lag B’Omer holiday, discussing it as a day of light, unity, and the revelation of inner strength, associated with Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai and the cessation of the plague among Rabbi Akiva’s students. Special attention was given to why on this particular day it is customary to rejoice, light bonfires, and increase love for one another. These traditions were examined as expressions of deep spiritual processes and a striving for inner unity among the people. <\/p>

A separate line of discussion was devoted to understanding how the ideas of holiness and responsibility revealed in the portion of Emor find their continuation in the atmosphere of Lag B’Omer, underscoring the importance of unity, mutual respect, and awareness of one’s role in the life of the community.<\/p>

“Studying the weekly portion of Emor and understanding the meaning of Lag B’Omer helps a Jew to understand their spiritual mission more deeply, strengthen their inner connection to tradition, and learn to build relationships based on love and responsibility,” noted Levi Zislin, director of the “Menorah Community” project. “Such lessons help men strengthen their connection to Torah, to each other, and to our dear, united, and cohesive Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
