A new episode in the weekly lesson series by Chief Rabbi of Dnipro Shmuel Kaminezki has been released on the “Menorah” YouTube channel, dedicated to the Torah portion of Behar-Bechukosai. In this lesson, the Rav addresses one of the most complex and compelling topics \u2013 why crises appear in a person’s life, and how the Torah suggests we view them. <\/p>

The portion of Behar-Bechukosai speaks of a system of blessings and, at first glance, severe warnings that follow the violation of mitzvos. These texts are often perceived as punishment, yet in the traditional understanding, they reveal a much deeper meaning in the relationship between man and the Almighty. <\/p>

In his explanation, Rav Shmuel Kaminezki emphasizes that even the harshest words of the Torah are not an expression of anger, but rather carry hidden care and are intended to awaken a person. Sometimes, the state of inner or outer “chaos” becomes a turning point that helps one emerge from spiritual stagnation and open the way to change. <\/p>
