Another women’s class took place at the “Menorah Community” youth project of the Dnipro Jewish Community, which is actively developing through the efforts of the Zislin family. The session was dedicated to the topic of Jewish divorce, the concept of a get, and how the Torah addresses issues of separation, responsibility, and the subsequent status of a woman after the dissolution of a marriage.<\/p>

<\/p>

The speaker for the gathering was the Deputy Secretary of the Dnipro Rabbinical Court, Rabbi Avraham Yosef Yitzchak Karshenbaum, who offered the participants a deep and substantive study of the concept of a get \u2013 the special Jewish divorce document that radically changes a woman’s subsequent status and determines many aspects of her future life in accordance with the laws of the Torah.<\/p>

<\/p>

During the lesson, the participants discussed whether the Torah offers answers to family conflicts, grievances, and separations. They also spoke about how Jewish tradition views divorce not as a formality or merely an emotional experience, but as an event with profound spiritual and life consequences.<\/p>

<\/p>

Special attention was given to the fact that after receiving a get, a woman acquires a special status, which is identical neither to that of a married woman nor to that of a woman who was never married. The participants discussed how the Torah, even in situations of pain and separation, seeks to preserve order, respect, and justice, establishing a clear system of responsibility and relationships between people in accordance with Jewish law. <\/p>

“Studying such complex and profound topics helps a woman better understand not only the laws of the Torah but also the responsibility that Jewish tradition associates with creating and preserving a family,” said Esti Zislin, co-director of the “Menorah Community” project. “Such lessons help participants strengthen their connection to Torah, to one another, and to our dear, united, and cohesive Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
