The June issue of “Shabbat Shalom” newspaper continues to cover the eventful life of the Dnipro Jewish Community. The issue combines holiday reports, spiritual reflections, personal stories, educational materials, and a chronicle of community life. Special attention is paid to the events of Lag B’Omer, the activities of community projects, and the preservation of historical memory. The issue was published in a shortened eight-page format. <\/p>

<\/p>

The first page features a story by Iryna Lazareva about the children’s parade for Lag B’Omer in the Dnipro Jewish Community, as well as a report on another meeting of JBBBS project participants.<\/p>

<\/p>

The second page presents a review of the weekly addresses of Chief Rabbi of Dnipro Shmuel Kaminezki under the general title “Being Absolutely Happy.” The page is supplemented by a story by Veronika Shlaina about the women’s gatherings that took place during the month of Iyar. <\/p>

<\/p>

The third page is dedicated to the activities of the “Chesed Menachem” Charitable Foundation, which plays an important role in the social support of community members.<\/p>

<\/p>

The fourth page features two articles about the lives of residents of the “Beit Baruch” Home for the Elderly, as well as brief reports on a trip by participants of the “Shura Rishona” Machon project to Kamianske, an exhibition of paper cutouts (vytynanky) at the Menorah Center, and an Israeli party at the Solomonika Jewish Cultural Center.<\/p>

<\/p>

The fifth page contains a report on the celebration of International Museum Day in Dnipro, as well as notes by Valentyn Khoroshun about a tour of the exhibition at the National Sofrut Center.<\/p>

<\/p>

The sixth page features the beginning of an interview by Yevgen Yevshtein with Zeev Vinogradov, titled “Dniprover from Dnipro” (the conclusion is announced for the next issue), as well as a story about a performance of “An Almost Biblical Story,” which took place in the Sinai Hall of the Menorah Center.<\/p>

<\/p>

The seventh page is entirely devoted to the material “Remembering Arkadiy Shmist,” prepared by Oleksandr Bystriakov.<\/p>

<\/p>

The eighth page, as always, concludes the issue with a kaleidoscope of community life: birthday and anniversary greetings, announcements, and a joke.<\/p>
