A new episode in the weekly lesson series by Chief Rabbi of Dnipro Shmuel Kaminezki has been released on the “Menorah” YouTube channel, dedicated to the Torah portion of Pinchas. In this lesson, the Rav addresses one of the most important themes \u2013 what a true leader should be like and why not every worthy person is capable of leading others. <\/p>

<\/p>

The portion of Pinchas recounts the events following the crisis in the camp of Israel, the appointment of a new generation of leaders, and how Moses asks the Almighty to designate the one who will lead the people after him.<\/p>

<\/p>

In his explanation, Rav Shmuel Kaminezki emphasizes that leadership is not inherited and is not determined solely by knowledge, good qualities, or personal righteousness. A true leader must be able to take full responsibility for the people, combining spiritual ideals with care for their daily lives. <\/p>

Special attention is given to why Joshua, specifically, became Moses’ successor and what qualities made him worthy of this high mission. The Rav shows that true leadership is manifested not in loud words but in daily service to the people, the readiness to see the bigger picture, and the responsibility for every aspect of the life of one’s community. <\/p>
