Another women’s class took place at the “Menorah Community” youth project of the Dnipro Jewish Community, which is actively developing through the efforts of the Zislin family. The session was dedicated to the weekly portion of Matos-Masei and the spiritual lessons it reveals about a person’s life journey, overcoming difficulties, and constant inner growth.<\/p>

<\/p>

The speaker for the gathering was Daniella Listengurt, who invited the participants to look together at one of the most profound images of the weekly portion \u2013 the forty-two journeys of the Jewish people through the desert. During the lesson, the participants discussed how this list of encampments is not only part of the history of the Jewish people but also a reflection of every person’s life journey. <\/p>

<\/p>

Special attention was given to the explanation provided by the grandson of the Baal Shem Tov, according to which the forty-two journeys symbolize the stages through which every person passes. The participants spoke about how in every person’s life there are changes, trials, moments of spiritual growth, and new steps that cannot be taken while remaining in one place. <\/p>

<\/p>

The discussion also explored why it is so important to overcome oneself, not to stop before difficulties, and to continue moving forward, understanding that the value lies not only in achieving the goal but also in the very process of spiritual development and inner improvement.<\/p>

<\/p>

A separate topic was the story of Rabbi Akiva, which helped the participants reflect on how even the most difficult events may turn out to be part of a greater good that the Almighty gradually reveals to a person, if they maintain faith and trust in His plan.<\/p>

“It was very important for the girls to see that the journey of the Jewish people through the desert is not only a part of our history but also an image of every person’s spiritual path, learning to overcome difficulties, grow, and not stop at what has been achieved,” says Esti Zislin, co-director of the project. “Such gatherings help deepen our understanding of the meanings of the Torah and see how each new stage of our lives becomes an opportunity for inner growth and drawing closer to the Almighty. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to develop the ‘Menorah Community’ project, which our united and cohesive Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki affords us.”<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
