It was in our city that Rabbi Levi Yitzchak served as Chief Rabbi for many years, selflessly defending Jewish life during the years of harsh Soviet persecution. Despite constant pressure from the communist regime, arrest, torture, exile, and the most severe trials, he continued to serve his people and create unique works on Torah and Kabbalah, which became an invaluable legacy of Jewish thought.  <br><br><\/p><p>We are pleased to present to our readers this unique film prepared by JEM. It tells the story of the life of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson, his spiritual heroism, his selfless struggle to preserve Yiddishkeit in the Soviet Union, and his immense contribution to Jewish heritage.
