At the Yeshiva Ktana named after Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson, a leading educational institution of the Jewish Community of Dnipro for boys, a siyum took place \u2013 a solemn celebration marking the completion of the study of an important section of the sacred texts. This time, it marked the conclusion of the study of the first portion of the Torah, “Bereishis,” by the second-grade students under the guidance of their teacher, Rabbi Shlomo Segal. This important event became a celebration of the boys’ first serious achievements in the study of the Chumash and at the same time the beginning of a new stage \u2013 becoming acquainted with the next Torah portion, “Noach.” <\/p>

<\/p>

The festive gathering took place in the classroom, where the boys, together with their mentor Rabbi Shlomo Segal, held a solemn ceremony dedicated to this important event. The program included an interactive game using a special electronic wheel with the students’ names, which added an element of exciting competition to the celebration and enabled each one to feel themselves a participant in the shared celebration. <\/p>

<\/p>

A special adornment of the siyum was a large festive cake with the inscription “Bereishis,” designed in the form of an open book with illustrations for the portion studied. After a group photograph with the teacher, the boys gathered for festive refreshments, sharing with one another the joy of completing an important stage of study. <\/p>

<\/p>

“Every siyum is a special joy, for it shows the children that the study of Torah brings not only knowledge but also a genuine sense of achievement,” notes Rabbanit Chana Segal, director of Yeshiva Ktana. “And it is very important that our boys from an early age become accustomed to rejoicing in every new step in the study of the sacred texts, strive to learn more and more, and understand that the completion of one portion opens the way to the next. This is how love for the Torah is cultivated \u2013 a love that will accompany them throughout their lives and bring nachas to the Rebbe, to their parents, to their teachers, and to the entire united and cohesive Jewish Community of Dnipro under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
