Jewish cemetery database
During the Soviet period, there was a barbaric policy of remembrance, destruction of Jewish cemeteries and construction of parks and squares in their place.
The only surviving Jewish cemetery in the city is located in the Zapadniy residential area. The cemetery, with more than 2500 burials, was on the verge of complete destruction. The community carried out titanic work to improve the place of sacred memory of our loved ones, to restore graves and install headstones on unnamed graves.
You can search the database to find your loved one’s gravesite and request a memorial service or graveside care.
