Preparing for Passover – a video guide for conducting the Passover Seder by Rabbi David Altman.

This video guide was prepared by the Jewish community in 2015 and is intended for those who decided to conduct the Seder independently. However, today, in the context of martial law in Ukraine, it is especially relevant and important, and we hope it will provide significant help to the Jews of Dnipro (and perhaps beyond). Back in 2015, the idea of creating a high-quality instructional video, which anyone could watch to become a Seder leader and an active participant, was proposed by a member of the Board of Trustees of the Jewish community of Dnipro, Yigal Rogovoy.

The video lesson is very simple and accessible – just watch it carefully once, and you will be well-prepared not only to be a qualified participant in the Seder but also to become its Leader. Watch this video yourself, watch it together with your family members, and recommend it to your friends.

We are also pleased to present to you the second part of Rabbi David Altman’s video course on various aspects and meanings of the Seder. This video was prepared thanks to the Jewish community of Dnipro, at the initiative of its director, Zelig Brez.

In this second part, Rabbi Altman delves deeper into the spiritual content of the Passover Seder and the entire holiday of Passover, explaining not so much what and how to do, but the meanings and significances present in the Passover traditions.

May your Passover be bright and filled with true freedom — both external and internal!
