In Dnipro, the Jewish community of the city held a large charitable event for the Passover holiday, during which large families, low-income individuals, IDPs, and others received a substantial food package from the charitable organization JRNU (Jewish Relief Network Ukraine).
The Jewish community of Dnipro received charitable aid from JRNU, which was distributed to six hundred families. In addition to matzah and kosher grape juice, which are key attributes of Passover, the package included many products that do not contain chametz. This is a very large and beautiful package, containing chicken, long-life and condensed milk, tea and coffee, eggs and apple juice, as well as one kilogram each of potatoes, carrots, beets, onions, sugar, apples, bananas, and oranges. Those who received these packages were very pleased and expressed deep gratitude to the Jewish community of the city and JRNU.
Such a wonderful food package weighs over ten kilograms, and to make it easier for families, the distribution was organized in various locations – at the “Pchelkina House” of the “Menorah” center, at the “Beit Tsindlicht” kindergarten, and at the Jewish lyceum.
“Parents of children attending the Jewish kindergarten ‘Beit Tsindlicht’ and the Jewish lyceum expressed many words of gratitude for this wonderful gift for Passover,” says the director of ‘Beit Tsindlicht’, Risha Gurevich. “Parents of our children approached me with requests through the website or other means to express their gratitude to the Jewish community of Dnipro and JRNU for these wonderful gifts, which created an atmosphere of joy and a sense of care for each Jew as a member of a large friendly family. I also join these words and, saying ‘thank you’, wish everyone who made this gift to us a joyful and kosher holiday, and blessings from the Almighty in all good deeds that will lead to the swift coming of the Righteous Messiah.
