May 14 – Day of Remembrance of Ukrainians Who Saved Jews During World War II

Today, May 14, Ukraine marks for the sixth time the official Day of Remembrance of Ukrainians who saved Jews during World War II.

This day was established as an official date by a resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine “On Commemorating the Memory of Ukrainians Who Saved Jews During World War II”. Since 2021, May 14 has been observed at both the state and local levels. Various events are organized on this day – ceremonies, round tables, online conferences, exhibitions, and more.

Several years ago, the Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” prepared a video lecture titled “Righteous Among the Nations of Dnipropetrovsk Region: Bringing History Back,” and we are pleased to offer it for viewing by our readers.
