At the end of the 2025–2026 academic year, students of the Dnipro Jewish Lyceum No. 144 named after Levi Yitzchak Schneerson had the opportunity to participate in the pilot stage of a new educational project, JSefer — digital textbooks on Jewish subjects.
This project became possible thanks to the support of our partners and sponsors, who continue to invest in the development of Jewish education and create conditions for children that meet the challenges and opportunities of the modern world.
For many years, schools in the “Or Avner” network have used “Darkeynu” textbooks on Jewish traditions, Torah, and Tanach. Today, when the ways of perceiving information are rapidly changing, it is especially important to find new forms of presenting material that can engage modern students and make learning more enjoyable and effective.
In May, our school received 20 tablets and access to a specially designed digital platform, JSefer. The first participants in the project were students in grades 3 and 5, who were able to test the new format of studying Jewish traditions in their lessons.
Interactive tasks, quizzes, logic puzzles, game elements, and user-friendly navigation help children actively engage with the material, better absorb new knowledge, and return with interest to the study of Jewish heritage.
This format proved especially valuable during air raid alerts, when tablets can easily be taken to a shelter, allowing the educational process to continue in safe conditions and maintaining access to all necessary materials.
We are already seeing the students’ keen interest in the new learning format and hope that in the next academic year the project will be further developed and cover even more classes.
We express our sincere gratitude to the JRNU organization, which for many years has supported our Jewish community, educational initiatives, and the development of the younger generation. Thanks to this support, our students have the opportunity to study in a modern educational environment where centuries-old Jewish values harmoniously combine with the latest technologies.
Thank you for your trust, for caring about the future of Jewish children, and for the opportunity to be part of projects that make learning more accessible, engaging, and inspiring for the new generation.
