In honor of the Day of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, observed on the 3rd of the month of Tamuz, numerous events were held in the Dnipro Jewish Community. One of the brightest and most inspiring was a grand women’s farbrengen, which took place on the 9th floor of the world’s largest Jewish center, “Menorah.”
The organizer and host of this event, Rebbetzin Shoshanna Weber, carefully planned the concept and prepared various interactive elements to help the women not only learn more about the Rebbe but also to find their own answers to deep spiritual questions. The program included Beit Midrash-style study sessions, a Bingo game, and group discussions on different situations connected with the Rebbe. Many participants openly expressed their joy at being able to share their emotions and the answers they had discovered with others.
The event began traditionally with candle lighting, the acceptance of good resolutions, and the writing of a PAN – a personal letter to the Rebbe. After a light buffet, everyone watched a video address by the Leader of our generation, the Seventh Lubavitcher Rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneerson, which deeply inspired each participant. The participants then divided into groups of five, and each group was given one of the letters that people had sent to the Lubavitcher Rebbe for discussion. After each situation was discussed, the host offered possible responses, and the teams had to determine which response belonged to which letter. Each group was able to share its conclusions with everyone, creating a collective learning experience where each person could find an important answer for themselves in the light of the Rebbe’s teachings.
Equally engaging was the Bingo game, where teams received cards with short conclusions and had to match them with eight fascinating stories connected with the Lubavitcher Rebbe. The teams that did this most accurately and quickly received prizes. Everything took place with great joy, enthusiasm, and in an atmosphere of true achdus.
The culmination of the event was the lighting by each woman of a special candle, so that its light would illuminate the good resolution she had accepted upon herself – a resolution that will undoubtedly add much light to our world and strengthen the hiskashrus of the Jews of Dnipro with the Leader of our generation, the Seventh Lubavitcher Rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneerson.
The participants of the farbrengen sincerely thanked the organizer of the event, Rebbetzin Shoshi Weber, and the entire united and cohesive Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki for such an inspiring and unforgettable event.
