At Machon “Chaya-Mushka,” the leading educational institution for girls of the Dnipro Jewish Community, the closing of the season of the “Tzivos Hashem” program took place. Throughout the school year, the program united the students around the ideas of Chassidic education, discipline, joyful fulfillment of mitzvos, and loyalty to the directives of the Lubavitcher Rebbe. The closing event was not only a summary of the season but also an important reminder that even during the summer months, the girls continue to be part of the “Army of the Almighty” – the Tzivos Hashem children’s movement, built on daily good deeds, prayer, study, and a Jewish way of life.
The program began with a joint gathering of the participants, the recitation of pesukim, and watching a video of the Rebbe. The girls were then introduced to an important theme: what makes Tzivos Hashem different – it is not about external strength but about inner discipline, service to the Almighty, the fulfillment of mitzvos, and the readiness to overcome one’s weaknesses every day and make the world a better place. This idea became the conceptual center of the entire season-closing program.
The main part of the event was a large game called “A Soldier Every Day,” structured as five stations. At each station, the girls performed tasks related to important elements of daily Jewish life: prayer, tzedakah, Torah study, morning hand-washing, and other significant actions that every Jewish girl should perform daily. For successfully completing the tasks, the participants received letters, which eventually formed the word “Geulah” (“Redemption”). The game was given particular dynamism by the obstacles that appeared on the girls’ path in the form of the yetzer hara – the evil inclination that hinders a person in spiritual work – but which can be overcome through correct decisions, discipline, and fidelity to the Jewish path.
A separate part of the program was a creative activity: the girls made a commemorative craft and received watches, which are meant to remind them that even in summer they continue to be Jewish princesses and future shluchos of the Rebbe. The watches were decorated with the symbolism of Tzivos Hashem and a portrait of the Rebbe, so that this gift would be not merely a souvenir but a daily reminder of personal responsibility, daily routine, and the continuation of spiritual work during the vacation time. The celebration concluded with dancing and the traditional “Tzivos Hashem Store,” which was another joyful part of the season’s closing.
“It was very important for us to conclude the Tzivos Hashem season not merely with a fun event, but with a program that would remind the girls that each of them, as part of Tzivos Hashem, is shaping herself as a young shlucha of the Rebbe. Thus, even in summer, she continues to live with the same values, habits, and inner discipline that were formed throughout the year,” noted Raizel Milman, Director of the Machon. “That is why the program focused on pesukim, a discussion about the mission of Tzivos Hashem, a game involving overcoming the yetzer hara, and a commemorative gift to accompany the girls during the summer months. This celebration, like all other Machon events, was made so vibrant and spiritually rich thanks to the constant attention to the education of Jewish girls in an atmosphere of Yiddishkeit and the support of the united and cohesive Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
