Farbrengen at the “Golden Rose” Synagogue in honor of the 12th–13th of Tammuz

A men’s farbrengen was held at the “Golden Rose” Central Synagogue, dedicated to the 12th and 13th of Tammuz—the birthday and the day of liberation of the Sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef-Yitzhak Schneersohn (Rebbe Rayatz). These dates are among the most important in the Hasidic calendar, symbolizing the triumph of the Jewish spirit and fidelity to the Torah and its commandments over any attempts at persecution and spiritual enslavement.

Numerous congregants of the synagogue, participants of the “Kollel Torah” project, and members of the Jewish community took part in the farbrengen, which was held in one of the halls of the Golden Rose Synagogue. The host of the gathering was the Deputy Secretary of the Dnipro Rabbinical Court, Rabbi Avraham Yosef Yitzchak Karshenbaum, who spoke about the events surrounding the arrest and Liberation of the Rebbe Rayatz, their historical significance for the Jewish people, and the spiritual lessons they hold for every generation.

The participants of the farbrengen, including such esteemed rabbis as Moshe Leib Weber, Levi Karelenstein, Reuven Milman, Dan Makogon, and Sholom Nachshon, sang Chassidic niggunim in an atmosphere of spiritual elevation, listened to stories and reflections on the self-sacrifice of the Sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe, spoke about the power of faith, devotion to Jewish tradition, and the responsibility of every Jew to spread the light of Torah and Yiddishkeit. Special attention was given to the fact that the Liberation of the Rebbe Rayatz was not merely his personal salvation but a victory for the entire Jewish people, opening new opportunities for the preservation and development of Jewish life.

“Farbrengens dedicated to the 12th and 13th of Tamuz always help us feel especially deeply the power of devotion to the Almighty and the fulfillment of His will,” noted Rabbi Reuven Milman. “The story of the Rebbe Rayatz’s Liberation inspires each of us to be steadfast in our observance of Torah and mitzvos, to strengthen our connection with the Rebbe, and together to spread the light of Yiddishkeit, strengthening and reinforcing our beloved, united, and cohesive Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
