Special Lessons and Farbrengen for Rebbe’s Day Took Place at “Beit Tsindlikht”

At the Children’s Educational Center “Beit Tsindlikht,” the main preschool institution of the Jewish community of Dnipro, special events were held dedicated to one of the most important dates in Hasidism – the third day of the month of Tammuz, celebrated worldwide as Rebbe’s Day.

On this day, many lessons focused on the role of the Rebbe in the history of the Jewish people and in the life of every Jew. The children had the opportunity to perform mitzvot that the Rebbe especially emphasized in his campaigns: they kissed the mezuzah, gave tzedakah, learned about the significance of Jewish books in every home, the importance of Jewish education and upbringing for every child, and with great joy fulfilled the mitzvah of Ahavat Yisrael – not only within their own group but also when visiting other groups.

An important part of the events honoring Rebbe’s Day was a large children’s farbrengen with kosher treats and a special Hasidic atmosphere. “We made every effort so that each child would feel the unbreakable connection to the Rebbe that unites all of us,” said the director of Beit Tsindlikht, Rebbetzin Risha Gurevich, “this is an important day for everyone – adults and the youngest alike – and together we did everything possible so that the Rebbe would feel our love, our unity, and cohesion within the Jewish community of the city that the Rebbe always called his own, and that this unity and cohesion bring much nachas to the Rebbe.”
