A Chuppah Took Place in Dnipro for Yosef and Avital Leah Nikitenko!

A moving and solemn Jewish wedding ceremony – Chuppah ve-Kiddushin – for Yosef and Avital Leah Nikitenko took place in the world’s largest Jewish center, “Menorah,” in Dnipro.

After the signing, in full accordance with Jewish law, of the marriage contract – the “Kesubah” – the wedding celebration began with a traditional “Kabbalas Panim” reception, held in the celebration halls of the “Pcholkin House.” During this reception, the groom and bride, like a king and queen, received guests, friends, and family. Yosef delivered the maamar “Lecha Dodi,” revealing the spiritual essence of a Jewish wedding.

Then, accompanied by men, the groom was led to the bride, where he performed the “badekenish” ceremony. The honored role of shushvinim was taken by the Stambler and Pinkus families.

The “Chuppah ve-Kiddushin” wedding ceremony was held outdoors on the Grand Terrace of the Menorah Grand Palace, in the presence of family and friends, as well as rabbis and esteemed community members. The wedding hymn “Mi Adir” was performed by Rabbi Sholom Dov Ber Nachshon. The letter of blessing from the Lubavitcher Rebbe was read by Rabbi Shneur Zalman Futerfas, with its translation by Reb Shlomo Tereshkevich.

The priestly blessing (Birkas Kohanim) for the young couple was recited by Rabbis Nachum Chaim and Dovber Erentroy, and Messrs. Netanel and Itai Niyazov.

The official “Chuppah ve-Kiddushin” wedding ceremony for Yosef and Avital Leah was conducted by the Chief Rabbi of Dnipro and the region, Shmuel Kaminezki, while Rabbis Aryeh Leib Gaysinsky and Menachem Mendel Lessoff attested to the authenticity of the ring. The wedding contract – the Kesubah – was read by Reb Avraham Yosef Yitzchak Karshenbaum. Then the Sheva Brachos, the seven wedding blessings, were recited.

The Dnipro Jewish Community and our website join in all the congratulations and wish Yosef and Avital Leah Nikitenko to build a strong Jewish family on the solid foundation of Torah and mitzvos.

Mazl Tov!
