In honor of Yom HaAtzmaut — Israel’s Independence Day — a vibrant concert was held at the “Beit Baruch” Senior Home of the Jewish Community of Dnipro, featuring one of the leading ensembles from the “Freylekhs” Club of the “Hesed Menachem” Charitable Foundation.
This event was part of a broader integration project uniting Jewish institutions across the city in their efforts to revive Jewish culture. The ensemble “The Jolliest” prepared a bright and talented program for Israel’s Independence Day, presented by the head of the “Freylekhs” Club, Viktoria Opalenko. The heartfelt gathering was filled with an atmosphere of warmth, support, and mutual understanding, along with a strong desire to bring joy and inspiration to the residents of “Beit Baruch.”
“This was a very meaningful event for us, prepared together with our activists and volunteers,” shared Viktoria Opalenko. “The residents warmly welcomed our stars — Svitlana Samchkoashvili, Iryna Bohdanova, Raisa Ivashko, our accompanist Yevheniia Vasylenko, and our technical genius Liubov Krupnyk. The host of the concert was Olena Popkova, head of ‘The Jolliest’ ensemble.”
The director of “Beit Baruch,” Malvina Ruvinska, expressed heartfelt thanks to Hesed and all the Jewish institutions that help elderly community members feel like full participants in Jewish life and support their social integration into the Jewish Community of Dnipro under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.
