Students of the Levi Yitzchak Schneerson Jewish Lyceum No. 144, the leading educational institution of the Dnipro Jewish Community, together with Halyna Nakonechna, Deputy Director for Educational Work, attended the city’s educational festival “PROcity of Successful Ideas.” The festival marked the culmination of six large-scale educational projects implemented throughout the school year in Dnipro’s schools.
The festival brought together over 320 students, 160 educators, representatives of higher education institutions, and the city’s business community. The participation of the Jewish educational institution added an additional and very important dimension to the event. The students of the Jewish lyceum were able to visit interactive thematic stations, take part in workshops, quests, and quizzes, and learn about the results of educational initiatives aimed at career guidance for students, the development of inclusivity, the creation of a safe educational environment, environmental education, museum education, and other important areas of modern pedagogy.
The students of our lyceum were particularly interested in seeing how ideas and initiatives born in the educational environment are transformed into real projects capable of bringing tangible benefit to the city and its residents. The students explored the achievements of the projects “KnowTY,” “ChildrenWithoutBorders,” “No Bullying,” “IN THE MUSEUM: (un)important things in the classroom,” “GREEN-ED. Green Education of Dnipro,” and “TasteWE,” and also had the opportunity to learn about areas in which the lyceum plans to participate in the future.
“Becoming acquainted with successful educational projects helps children better understand the possibilities of modern education and see how ideas can be transformed into real changes for the better,” noted Halyna Nakonechna, Deputy Director of the Lyceum. “Participation in such events fosters initiative, responsibility, and engagement with the life of the city, which is an important part of our lyceum’s educational work, carried out thanks to the constant support and attention of the Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
